Personal Birth preparation and planning

Personal sessions for couples or families helping them to prepare for birth in the way that best suits them. 

 

Whether your first baby or your fourth, you may know exactly the sort of birth you want, or you may have no idea.  You may be loving your pregnancy or hating it.  Whatever your situation we can work together to help everyone in your family get ready for the birth of the baby. Information, resources, practical and physical skills can all be combined to suit you and included in this may be the development of your own birth plan or preferences.  As well as working on what is important for you personally during the birth to map your birth plan we also work on how best to make this a happy reality in the Swiss or French maternity system.

 

Prices range from around 120-480 CHF depending on situation and number of sessions.

Connected and Contented Baby Sessions

Connected and Contented Baby sessions run every Friday 9.30-10.30 at the Magical Café in Felix Kampfplatz.

 

These sessions combine Baby Yoga, Baby Massage and Baby Signing for a wonderful session that builds connections within the babies' brains, their bodies, with their caregivers and with each others.  Suitable for babies and toddlers of all ages.

Sessions cost 25 CHF per session.  Book and pay for multiple sessions of Mother and Baby Yoga and/or Connected and Contented Baby sessions with a special price:

Mama and Baby Yoga

This five week postnatal and baby yoga course helps you reconnect with yourself, with your body and your breath. As your new role in your family evolves this postnatal yoga series gives you the opportunity to develop physically and mentally, finding strength, flexibility, relief and rest in your body, your breath and your mind.
At the same time our baby yoga asanas help your baby deepen their understanding of what and where their body is, how they can currently move and what potential their bodies hold and ways they are separate from you and ways they are connected to you.  Asanas are adapted to suit babies across the age range, developing confidence, range, shape and movement as each baby grows and changes   
Practicing yoga together with your baby can bring happiness, peacefulness, connection and understanding between the two of you.
We use both baby and postnatal asanas and movements, breathing and singing activities, stretches and rest and integration time to have a feel good time each week, taking care of ourselves, of our family and our community and world as we adapt to life with this baby.

Mignon Mama and Baby Yoga, for pre mobile babies (from around eight weeks to starting to crawl).  This is a five week course, with each class building on the previous class so regular attendance makes a real difference.  however we know how it can sometimes be difficult to get out of the house with a small baby, so six dates are available for the price of five, giving a make up class option at the end should you need to miss a session during the series.  And if you amen all five then the sixth class is a free bonus class for you.

This course costs 110CHF for five sessions (plus a free bonus session).  However, I wish to make these sessions accessible to everyone, so if this financial outlay is not possible for you then please contribute what you are able to afford.

Preparing for Parenthood antenatal courses

 

One to one and small group classes held regularly throughout the year, these classes give your family the support, resources, information and time to understand and plan what you want and need as you become parents.

 

Sessions typically include topics such as:

Normal process of birth and the Swiss maternity and postnatal care system, including different birth routes,  pain management, caesarean birth

Informed decision making and support in developing plans for birth and postnatal period that suits you and your family

Skills and resources for all members of the family to facilitate birth and the postnatal period

Understanding and techniques for successful and well supported breastfeeding, including managing feeding in the family dynamic and when returning to work

 

Resource, techniques and support for all the family during the fourth trimester and beyond, including use of baby slings
